Earlier this spring, COVID-19 has drastically changed our lives; from distanced learning, social distancing to delayed weddings. Many people were expected to work even though they cannot be at their office. Not only have you adapted to working remotely, your previous self-pampering routine has now gradually vanished as you do not need to make yourself more presentable.
Let's get back to normal! An improved skincare routine provides a good start to your day and help keep your skin glowing long after you return to your office.
Here are some skincare tips which will keep your skin glowing:
1. Drinking lots of water!
Did you know that our skin is the largest organ and is made up of cells. Cells contain water and if we do not drink sufficient amounts of water, we cannot expect our skin to look beautiful without enough hydration. Water helps to remove toxins from the body and skin, removing that imperfect complexion. Try to drink at least 8 glasses of water each day and drink more when it's hot.
Another tip would be to use hyaluronic acid as it helps to absorb water and store it after cleansing your skin.
2. Keep your skincare routine short and sweet!
Yes that's right! Explore your batches of skincare products and decide which ones you need. If there is near empty jars or tubes of creams which were there for longer than 6 months, toss them out as these are ineffective and lead to skin irritation and infections.
Your path to glowing skin should always without a doubt include cleansing, exfoliating and moisturising. If you have certain goals, like reducing your acne, you can start layering essential skincare products like serums, creams and gels for your particular skin type. And I stress YOUR skin type!
3. Cleanse 2 times and exfoliate regularly!
Not wearing makeup? Still, you have to cleanse your face morning and night to find your path to a glowing complexion. Make sure you select the right facial cleansers to prevent stripping away your beneficial natural oils. People with oily or acne-prone skin should use foam-based cleansers while people who have dry skin should use cream or lotion-based cleansers.
Do not forget exfoliating! Use a physical exfoliator gently like our Charminizza Ultrasonic Pore Exfoliator as it is much safer than chemical exfoliators, which usually contain harsh ingredients. Exfoliate 2-3 times per week to get rid of dead skin cells, cleaning clogged pores and deeper penetration of skincare products into skin.
4. Remember to moisturise!
The main goal of moisturising is to hydrate your skin and keep smooth and glowing complexion. If you have oily skin, you do not feel the urge to moisturise, but it is important to moisturise your face to restore balance on skin, preventing acne and premature aging.
For your daytime routine, your moisturiser should contain ingredients like antioxidants and sunscreen to battle the effects of pollution and other environmental triggers such as UV rays.
At night, you should apply moisturiser to renew your skin cells like our Charminizza Hemp Infused Mosituriser.
